COVID-19 has changed the lives of many, from the way we interact with people, how we work, socialize, communicate and support each other. Many have been unable to work, leaving them in a situation that has brought stress and hardship. It is during this time we look to our local food pantries to assist.
Those seeking assistance from food pantries are also in need of personal hygiene items, which are rarely donated. With that in mind, the Communities of Trust Committee is sponsoring a “Help from the Heart” drive to collect personal hygiene items. Items can be dropped off at any of the police district stations or the State Patrol (Braddock Road). We are also accepting disposable and cloth face masks. All donated items must be new.
Thanks to the many organizations and individuals who have, and continue, to donate to this cause. Unfortunately, we don’t see an ending date, as the unemployment continue to rise, along with the need.
